My Story
I was a Division 1 NCAA athlete- on top of the world once I graduated, and I genuinely thought that anyone will hire me because of all the qualities and life lessons I learned from playing softball my whole life. I have so much drive and passion it will be so easy to get a job.. boy was I wrong.
I didn’t even know where to begin. How to make a resume, how to create a Linkedin profile, what job board is best to use? Where to begin? I felt completely overwhelmed and scared.
Long story short, I kept applying everywhere in Austin, and I fell into my first job kind of by accident. I didn’t even know what recruiting, let alone technical recruiting entailed.
Five years later, I've quickly risen to through the ranks and become an industry leader working in Big Tech.
But looking back, I wish I had a fairy job mother that could have helped me navigate finding that dream career, instead of falling into it.
Now, fast forward five years and I still had this idea in my head. I was lucky I loved my industry and career. I have had so many teammates, former athlete friends, and friends from everywhere ask for resume help, interview prep, and general career advice. So I decided to take the jump and realized “it’s time.” It’s time to share my expertise and help those who need the fairy job mother that I wish I had.
